Ortus Tatravellan
Truestone Consul
A particularly obstinate member of the Alarith temple in Ymetrica’s Glib Stretch region, Ortus Tatrevellan has had a hand in securing several Lumineth cities and outposts over his brief 170-year career. More than an unyielding combatant, he also serves as an envoy for the Alarith, establishing contact with mountain spirits and mountain-dwelling mortals in realms beyond Hysh. The Glib Stretch’s Stonemage has recently tasked him with establishing connections in the Heaving Mountains of Ghyran.
Prior to arriving in The Lustrare River Valley, he was renowned in Chamon for establishing an unusual truce between Lumineth prospectors and the Bronzebite Mawtribe who dwell in the region. Shortly after their arrival, the Alarith Stoneguard and Mawtribe each developed a grudging respect (or the closest feeling to respect with which an aelf can regard an ogor) for the other’s monumental durability during their initial skirmishes.
After determining it would be impossible to rout the ogors from the area with their current numbers, Ortus approached their immense tyrant Garrul Bronzebitten to establish a mutually-beneficial trade deal. After all, what happens to the corpses and inferior equipment of the human, duardin, or beastman the Lumineth would slay in establishing their new territory would be of little concern to them.
The Mournful Choir
Natives of Shyish, the Mournful Choir is a warband of mortal Rotbringers of Nurgle who have embraced him as the rightful god of death and ruler of the Amethyst Realm. Their worship of Nurgle in the aspect of death is based on the need for firstly an ending of the mortal coil, in order to allow the cycle of life to continue unending. They display a very morose character in common with most inhabitants of Shyish and in direct contrast to the typical view of Nurglites as jovial and happy – often appearing emaciated, haggard and skeletal. They eschew the more usual greens and other colours of rot, usually painting their armour in whites and blacks with images of death, skulls and the like on their banners.
The coat of arms of the Order of the Tolling Bells: Argent with a bell Sable
(variations of this have been seen, though these may be different “choirs” within the overall order.)
The Order’s holdfast is known as Weeping Tor, a keep surrounded by the Griefmere, a deep and mostly impenetrable marsh.
Thorn’s Troggmob
For a long time, the Troggboss called Thorn da Ogorshield (called such because he once used an ogor as a shield during a fight) resided in the caverns of the Lustrare Valley. Alas, that state could not last forever. Nobody really knows the reason, but at some point...
The Lavafall Restricted Area
The Lavafall District in Hammerhal Aqsha had been thoroughly devastated, after the gargantuan Charonhydra escaped the alleged Grand Stormvault beneath the city. Wild spells and ancient monsters, trapped since the Age of Myth, were released into the city, and the Council of Hammerhal sealed off the district, leading to riots inside for months.
The threat within and below grew so big that the Hammers of Sigmar themselves descended on the vault at last, and seemingly neutralized most of the threat… or did they?
Things have calmed down since, but large parts of the district are still quarantined, to prevent entry to the bowels of the vault and for fear of Chaos corruption… and rightly so.
