Annan Lyre’s Death-Quest
Either following or followed by a living pit of viscious teeth and fell words, this warband of bestial gorgers is led by Annan Lyre, a Fimirach noble on a directionless quest to find a new queen to serve or die in the attempt. Lacking others of his kind to command, tamed ogors serve as his soldier, though a grizzled hunter, lucid of thought, serves as his lieutenant and sole source of intelligible conversation.
Lyre cares nothing for the Slidecrown Isle, only what it potentially offers to his mother. If her gulping appetites can be quenched forever, he can better focus on his true quest. To that end, he will crush any and all obstacles in his way, be it tree, protector, or otherwise.

Last living child of Meargh Wizard-Queen Mana Myr. Annan Lyre experienced a traumatic upbringing as his mother, mind shattered from fell experiments and the loss of her children-army, trapped him in a savage embrace until she herself transformed into nothing more than a pit of teeth and dark secrets. Upon his escape, he trained himself in motor skills first, martial skills later, preparing for a quest to find a new, living, and sane Wizard-Queen to serve.
Upon leaving Mana Myr's tower and domain, he discovered a unique connection to his mother: she appears in his vicinity when he travels too far from her. Additionally, she attracts misshapen creatures who worship her and help him keep her fed, but who in turn are as well endlessly hungry. Though not the fellow Fimir he was born to command, Annan Lyre has adopted these gorgers into his mission to locate others of his kind in a realm seemingly absent of them

Og the Luckless, an Ogor Icebrow Hunter and Lyre’s companion and guide. Sole source of intelligible conversation. Travels with Annan Lyre out of hungry curiosity and the desire to be the first hunter to find an ancient peoples who do not wish to be found.
