Grolov, Dadwar of the Nashwan Covenant

Originally an aelvish merchant from the Lahar wastes, Grolov rose above his simply life when he witnessed first hand the ascension of Nashwar Rua. Blinded but given the gift of prophecy, Grolov has taken the role of Dadwar—High judge and executioner— and travels about the land proclaiming an end to come.

An excerpt from the writings of Grolov,

It was in my early years that I first explored the nooks and crannies of the Badlands which I called home. In those days I was infatuated by worldly goods, and I would travel for weeks bringing metal armor and weapons to my kinsfolk in exchange for hides and craft items for the Three Sisters. To see how much the Sistersfolk valued those skins surprised me at first, as well as for how little they sold what were once iron wonders.

The Bleed was an interesting phenomenon for the Lahar aelves. For many of the more out lying clans, for which the merchants could not reach, this was their first interaction with more than bronze, though many fell to Chamonic magics. It was also during that time which I first encountered my Lady.

Her court had brought me in to serve them as a guide, and though I saw her greatness but once, when our eyes met as she made her way out of the sand blown Lionthorne Outpost I knew she saw my potential.

Mere weeks later, I was traveling once more out of the Rift, the remnants of the Bleed frozen on the scarred landscape. My Sand-Scurrier felt the first tremor, though the Earthquake that followed was noticeable. I quickly hid within ruins as I watched the valley from which I was walking mere hours ago churn with earth, chains and scales. Then I saw two glowing orange eyes stare at me, then in one last glorious moment I saw my Lady’s third eye open.

And though I lost my mortal sight, in that eye I see eternity.

Middle of the road

‘Sigrid stood at the gates to the inner city, clutching her gun tightly as the people gathered around before the regiment. They all looked rabid and malnourished as they clutched makeshift weapons. They yelled things and threw objects at the gates. The crowd grew louder and larger, and they threw more stones and loose pipes. Until a gunshot sounded, and a man in front of her fell. The crowd roared, and she was swept up in a flood of bodies.’

Assault on the docks

in Barak-Gorog, the nobles fight to control the settlement atop the highest citadels of the inner city, on the skydocks, the skaven of Clan Rhukrit seek to destroy in and out going ships and cargo.
