Notice:

I am currently actively working on this tool. You may find it isn’t as responsive as you’d expect, or even not work very well – particularly around Path to Glory. My apologies for the issues, I’m going through it as fast as I can.

You’re embarking on an amazing journey, well done! Below you’ll find a way to create (and later manage) your Age of Sigmar Path to Glory and/or Warcry Warbands – as well as a Soulbound group.

With regards to PtG – Please note, the tool is primarily for populating a digital version of both the PtG Roster, and Order of Battle sheets, and isn’t meant as a guide on how actually play through Path to Glory games. As such, it’s “Aftermath Sequence” and other information similar to that is generic and your respective Battletome may have slightly different information. It is similar for Warcry warbands as well

Also, be sure to know that these things will not be accepted into The Great Weave:

  • Storylines that directly contradict the overall AoS Narrative (like killing Nagash, or eliminating Chaos from the Realms)
  • Racist or sexist material (with some basic, obvious, exceptions to do with standard speciesism like Duardin not being fans of Aelves)
  • Explicit/capricious/extreme/sexual violence to minors (Allowed: “Enemy ‘A’ killed Hero’s child.” Not Allowed: Explaining in detail how that was done and all the horrible things that were done to that child)

Please be aware, that although you could infringe (in a number of ways) on other Heroes in the Weave, we ask that you contact the relevant writer/creator on Discord before doing so. It’s the right thing to do. By default, all heroes are safe from killing unless permission is given

Please note that the tool isn’t perfect, and will occasionally error out.

  • We run a small "news" podcast that keeps people updated on all things The Great Weave. Occasionally we'll actually highlight characters or groups within the Mortal Realms, and give up-to-date information on what they've been up to. But we won't do this without your permission.
  • Tags for Multi-level Creation

Use the below tool to add your own custom tag to the creation. This is only helpful to those that are also using the Multi-level Creator. Always use the exact same tag for those creations you want to have show up together. It is case-sensitive.

  • This tool allows you to create any sort of group of characters inside the Mortal Realms. It also includes toolsets for those looking to play with their group in a particular Game System. In order to gain access to these particularities, select from the options below. You can select more than one.

  • General Information

  • Keep this short please, if you have more info, place it in the field below
  • This is not required, but if you have lore you'd like to share, feel free to do so here!

  • Roster

If you need names for your Army, Warlord, various Heroes, Territories, Strongholds, and Units, but cannot work them out right now, why not check out the name generators that Realm of Plastic makes here:

    Realm of Plastic

    • The first step is to pick a faction, each faction has it's own battletome as explained in page 248 of the Core Book.
    • If you access to a subfaction, you can use it here, otherwise, why not pick your own custom one!?
  • Starting sizes and Territories

There are four Starting Sizes to choose from when starting a Path to Glory Campaign. It affects a host of different things, including your territories and starting glory points. Here you'll find the various limits that are applied when selecting a Starting Size.

      Your Stronghold and it's Territories

In addition to your starting territories, you'll begin your Path to Glory campaign with a Stronghold. This Stronghold will give you a number of benefits:

Territories: You can hold up to three territories with a standard Stronghold.
Barracks: your stronghold can have up to three barracks
Outposts: You can create up to one outpost.

Don't forget, Realm of Plastic even has name generators for Strongholds!

      Stronghold Name Generator

    • Aftermath Sequence:

      Managing your Stronghold

At step five of the Aftermath Sequence you can Spend glory points to build more Barracks in your Stronghold, or to upgrade your Stronghold into an Imposing Stronghold Stronghold, or an Imposing Stronghold into a Mighty Stronghold

See the Order of Battle and Unit Limits section.

      Managing your Territories

At step six of the Aftermath Sequence you can roll a D66 to see what your forces find after the battle. If you find a Territory, you have the chance to spend 10 Glory Points to dominate it.

If you don’t have enough Glory Points, or don’t want to spend them, you ignore the Territory.

The maximum number of Territories you can control is determined by the size of your Stronghold. You can also spend Glory Points to [Upgrade] a Territory.

    Order of Battle

You're making great headway, keep going! Now we'll start adding units to your Order of Battle, starting with your warlord. Below you'll find a helpful reminder about the various limits you have when starting our your campaign. Remember, though, that your Starting Territories (above) may change one or more of these limits.

  • Starting Order of Battle Limits

Depending on your Starting Size, there are some specific limits on what typ of units you can have, and how much you can have. These are altered at a later stage

  • Unit Type: Limits:
Total Units See Starting Size table above
    Hero Units 3
    Monster Units 1
    War Machine Units: 1
    Wizard Units 1
    Priest Units 1
    Reinforced Units 1
    Allied Units 1
  • Warlord:

    • Set-up:

The warlord is the commander of your Path to Glory roster, and needs to meet some criteria:

It must be a single model with the HERO keyword and a Leader
It must be from the faction of your Path to Glory army (you plugged this in previously)
      It cannot be Unique

We would recommend that you create a Hero here on the Weave, but it isn't required. You can do that here:

      Hero Creation

      Aftermath Sequence:

      Injuries and Casualties

Slain HEROES, as well as Single units with a wounds characteristic of 8 or more, have to make Injury rolls. Unique units never make these rolls.

      2D6 Injury
2-3 Killed: remove this unit from your order of battle.
4-5 Critical Injury: at the start of your next battle, if this unit is included in your army, it begins the battle with D3 wound allocated to it that cannot be negated or healed.
6-7 Major Injury: at the start of your next battle, if this unit is included in your army, it begins the battle with 1 wound allocated to it that cannot be negated or healed.
      8-11 Minor Injury: No effect
12 Forged in Battle: this unit gains 2D6 renown points.

      Death of a Warlord

If your warlord is killed, an existing HERO in your Order of Battle is promoted to warlord, or you can add a new HERO to your Order of Battle (by paying Glory Points, see Step 7). If you don’t have another HERO or enough Glory Points, you can add a new HERO for free.

In either case, the new warlord immediately gain 15 Renown Points.

    • Aftermath Sequence:

      Gain Renown

      After each game:

      1) Surviving the Battle: Each unit that survived the balle gains 1 renown point

      2) Bonus Renown: If you played a Path to Glory battleplan, it will explain how units can gain renown points.
      Otherwise, the rule below applies:
Roll a dice for each unit that was wholly within enemy territory at the end of the battle. Each unit that rolled a 4+ gains 1 renown point.

      3) Favoured Warriors: Pick 1 unit that took part in the battle: that unit gains D6 renown points.

Note Unique units do not gain renown points.

As your HERO gains Renown points, the will earn ranks. HEROES earn different ranks to other units. In addition, HEROES gain a Command Trait when they become a Mighty Hero.

      Renown Points Hero Rank
      0-14 Rising Hero
      15+ Mighty Hero

Note: A HERO cannot have more than 1 Command Trait. No HEROES can have the same Command Trait.
  • This will be something like "Soulrender", "Megaboss", "Knight of Shrouds" etc.
    • See page 314 of the Core book to tell you how to deal with Injuries. If you're just starting out, leave this as is
    • See page 317 of the Core book to tell you how to deal with Renown Points. If you're just starting out, leave this at 15
    • These are the points to field the warlord
  • We highly recommend putting something here, it will improve the look of your page immensely!

    Other Units

    • Set-up:

The below field is for noting any details you'd like about all the other Units in your army. Be sure to include the following details for each entry:

      Name
      Warscroll
      Veteran Abilities and Notes
If they are Reinforced (and how many times)
      A Casualty score
      Renown Points
      Pitched Battle Profile Points

      Aftermath Sequence:

      Injuries and Casualties

For all non-HERO unit, slain units make Casualty rolls.

For each unit, roll a dice for each slain model in that unit. Each result of 1 increases the unit’s casualty score by 1. For each casualty roll, you can spend 1 Glory Point to re-roll one die result.

Note: Models returned to a unit during the game do not count as slain.

Once your casualty score is calculated, remove a number of models equaling that of your casualty score from the unit.

Note this in the field below under the unit's Casualty score.

      Aftermath Sequence:

      Manage your Order of Battle

      Add New Units
Spend the required number of Glory Points to add a new unit to your Order of Battle, at its minimum size. You must be within the limits on your Order of Battle to add the new unit.

      Recuperate Units
Spend the required number of Glory Points, depending on the unit size, to reduce the unit’s Casualty score.
To recuperate a unit, roll a number of dice equal to the unit’s Casualty Score. For each 4+, reduce the Casualty score by 1. If the unit did not participate in the last Path to Glory battle, reduce the Casualty Score by 1 on a roll of 2+ instead. Each unit can only be recuperated once per Aftermath Sequence.

      Reinforcing Units
If the Pitched Battle profile allows a unit in your Order of Battle to be reinforced, you can spend the required amount of Glory Points, which depends on the unit’s point cost (which must include previous reinforcements).

      Retiring Units
If you wish to retire a unit, remove it from your roster. If the unit had a Core Enhancement, simply choose a new Core Enhancement of the same type and assign it to another unit in your Order of Battle.

As your units gain Renown points, the will earn ranks, and gain Veteran Abilities. Non-HERO use the table below:

Renown Points Unit Rank Veteran Abilities
      0-4 Untested Warriors 0
      5-14 Veteran Warriors 1
      15-29 Elite Veteran Warriors 2
      30+ Legendary Veteran Warriors 3

You can chose from the following Veteran Abilities, and/or see your respective Battletome:

      Veteran Abilities
Exemplars of Value: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, at the start of the battleshock phase, if it is within 3” of an enemy unit. If it does so, do not take battleshock tests for friendly units wholly within 9” of this unit until the end of that phase.
Disciplined Battle-drill: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, when it is picked to fight in the combat phase. Add 1 to wound rolls for attacks made by that unit until the end of that phase.
Fleet of Foot: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, at the start of your charge phase. If it does so, this unit can attempt a charge in that phase even if it ran in the same turn.
Deadly Volley: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, when it is picked to shoot in your shooting phase. Add 1 to wound rolls for attacks made by that unit until the end of that phase.
Defensive Formation: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, when it is picked as the target of an attack in the combat phase. Subtract 1 from wound rolls for attacks that target that unit until the end of that phase.
Devastating Charge: this unit can use this veteran ability once per battle, after it makes a successful charge. If it does so, pick 1 enemy unit within 1” of this unit. That enemy unit suffers D3 mortal wounds.

      Notes:
      - You cannot gain the same veteran ability twice.
      - Your army can only use 1 veteran ability per turn, and each ability can only be used once per battle.

    Your Vault

The Vault is where you keep all sorts of various enhancements, extras, and treasure you'll earn on your campaign.

To begin with, you can choose one core battalion, or warscroll battalion that your faction has access to, and one endless spell or invocation that your faction has access to (their points cost counts against your starting size points limit). Note these here, and then add to this later on as you earn more.

    • The maximum amount of Battalions you can have is 6
    • The maximum amount of Endless Spells or Invocations is 3
  • Enhancements

In Path to Glory, there are two types of enhancements: Core Enhancements and Bonus Enhancements. Core Enchancements are enhancements normally granted by the core rules and your allegiance abilities. Bonus Enhancements are additional enhancements you will earn during your campaign by completing Quests. (See below)

For now, you'll need to choose your core enhancements, and note them in the "Core Enhancements" sections of the relevant Warlord and Heroes above. Core enhancements cannot be changed later, so be sure to choose wisely!

    Extra Enhancements

Certain subfactions and other allegiance abilities might grant you access to additional enhancements. In these cases, you receive these extra enhancements as normal, and they are treated as Core Enhancements and not Bonus Enhancements

  • Bonus Enhancements

Below, you'll find spaces to hold your Bonus Enhancements. You can have a maximum of 6 for each, if you want another one, you need to remove one. You can only have one Triumph.

    Quests and Achievements

A quest in Path to Glory is the goal your warlord is currently trying to achieve, and you'll resolve that quest by doing certain things in your Path to Glory battles. The Core book, as well as recent battletomes, have many of these Quests, and we're expecting additional Path to Glory battlepacks. These have been added to the Weave, and can be found on the Quest Board. You'll also find other player-submitted Weave Quests to go on as well, providing you with an immense amount of story ideas for you campaign.

Remember, everything in the Weave “actually happens” so most of the time Weave Quests are one-offs. For example; if a monster is terrorising a city, and you decide to play through the quest, you will be “resolving” that quest. When you’ve completed the quest, be sure to comment on the page about what happened! Some resolutions will naturally close the quest (the monster is slain), while others will keep it open (the army/binding was destroyed/beaten, and the monster is still out there). More often then not, Quests found in Game Workshop publications can be taken multiple times over, and those found here on the Weave will make that clear.

Most quests will have some sort of reward, when you've resolved the quest note down the reward in the appropriate section of you Vault (above). These are usually glory points or bonus enhancements. If you're completing a Weave Quest that is a little more story-orientated, and the reward is more vague, it's recommended you either choose an Artefact of Power that you have access to (if the story focused around finding some sort of artefact, we'd recommend renaming it so it reflects what the quest was about), or 10 glory points if you're really unsure.

  • Current Quest

Here, you can select what Quest your host is currently on. Additionally, you can select a custom Quest, and then note the Quest name and Link. This link is a little annoying to get, but can certainly be worth it. You can find Weave Quests here:

Below you'll find sections to add in information about your warband members. We suggest including their:
    - Name
    - Renown Level
    - Artefacts and Treasure
    - Any particular lore, like amazing stories, or their background

We've given you more slots than usually allowed to give you as much freedom as possible, but if you ever need more, you can always coalesce members into a single field (like having all your thralls or beasts in a single field), which will work just as well. The numbers mean nothing, but fill out the fields consecutively.
