The Sea of Elemental Truths, a vast expanse found to the north of the Jade Kingdoms of Verdia and Thyria in the Realm of Ghyran, holds a deep history steeped in bloody conflict.

In the annals of history, the Age of Chaos brought with it the ominous presence of Nurgle, the Plaguefather, whose covetous gaze fell upon Ghyran, the Realm of Life. It was during this era that the Sea of Elemental Truths witnessed its most significant turning point. Nurgle, seeing the Realm of Life as a fertile crucible, dispatched swarms of his minions to infiltrate the region. These nefarious forces seeped into Ghyran through reality-bending means, and their influence took root swiftly.

The Sea of Elemental Truths, caught within Nurgle’s grasp, became the focal point for his relentless Deluge—a storm of tainted waters that marred the once-sunlit lands, transforming them into a realm of plague magic. As a result, the Slidecrown Isle emerged from the disintegrating upper lands, a testimony to the force of Nurgle’s curse.

To the east, the sea became infested when Ethrac Glott, a sorcerer of great power, unleashed a shoal of cursed hagfish into its waters. These malevolent creatures grew to colossal proportions by feeding on the sacred Aqua Ghyranis, becoming a nightmarish barrier for those who dared to approach the coast. This area was aptly named the Gulf of Hags.

Further transformations occurred, such as the rise of the Scabrous Sprawl in place of the Harmonis Veldt, and the division of the Triske Isles into the three sub-realms that formed the Squelchlobe Nations. Each sub-realm was claimed by a self-proclaimed sorcerer known as the Sons of Putrefaction, marking a shifting balance of power.

The Sea of Elemental Truths became a realm fraught with peril, where the forces of Order, Chaos, and various factions waged battles over its mystical resources and territories. Its waters held ancient secrets, and the air bore witness to a constant struggle for dominion, making it a volatile and coveted region within the Mortal Realms.

Humid winds have carried rainclouds from deep within Ghyran. Jade droplets can heal wounds and invigorate the spirit.

All fighters can use the following ability:
[Double] Healing Rains: Remove a number of damage points allocated to this fighter equal to the value of this ability.

Realm Rules:

Lifesprings

It is said that bathing in the lifesprings of Ghyran can cure disease and increase vitality.

Before the battle begins, each player picks a Hero from their army. Add 1 to the Wounds characteristic of the Heroes that are picked.

The clouds that drew over the Slidecrown Isle were heavy with Ghyran’s grief. They shed crystal rain in great sheets over the lakes. The war for the isle had heralded nonstop combat for weeks. Bodies were slumped in the shallows, often cut down from behind even as they tried to heal their injuries with life-giving Aqua Ghyranis.

Cross the Water

The fires of war rage unendingly across the Slidecrown Isle. Those bent on scouring it clean topple ancient jadebarks and put resistance forces to the slaughter. Island denizens string up the bodies of their foes to feed the life-giving copses. Under cover of furious fighting, mercenaries dig through earth sodden with Aqua Ghyranis to find treasures of a civilisation long lost to time…
