Settle in the Fangwood

Your travels complete, you see the Steppe laid out before you. Across the horizon, you see other warlords begin to build their strongholds. Some have come in search of the Amber Stampede, others have come by the invitation of local warlords, and some just see the land as a font of opportunity.

But this story is yours to tell. Why have you come? Where have you settled? Who are those that fight alongside you? What is the Stronghold you will build? These are the questions the Steppe demands of you. These are the tools you will use to carve your legends into the lands of Ghur.

Game Master Notes

These notes exist to help you run through the Quest. They are put here by the creator and should give you some direction as to what they had in mind when they created the Quest

- Path to Story -

You have chosen to build your stronghold in the Fangwood. The skeletal trees and crimson leaves have called out to you in some way. You notice the ossified bark is as sturdy as it is plentiful, a great resource to build your strongholds. As you begin to establish your settlement, you receive visitors representing the local warlords.
– A Grovekeeper of the Bloodroot Legion forth lumbering contracts written up by Arch-Hekatos Kalazar. Their plans and procedures will allow settlers to prosper under his strict guidance.
– A knight of The Towering Court brings an invitation from King Elrog to join the court in a massive feast. By consuming a great beast of Ghur, the King hopes to emphasize the truth of Ghur, that the big will devour the small.
– A parade of black clad skeletons approaches your stronghold, led by a herald of the Obsidiax Scintilade. They pass along a gilded decree allowing you entrance into the great bathhouses, coliseums, and art halls under their purview.

Rewards

Sometimes a Quest creator will tell you what you get for completing the Quest, depending of the outcome of course. If there is nothing, you can obviously create your own rewards, ahhh… imagine the possibilities…

As a gift to their new neighbors, the Bloodroot Legion and the Towering Court have been sending construction teams to help build strongholds for those who settle in the Fangwood. They hope that the free labor and resources will sway you to their cause.
You immediately add the Large Settlement territory to your stronghold without spending Glory.

– For completing this quest, word of your legend grows across the Hungering Steppe. You receive 6 Glory and your warlord gains 1d6 Renown.
– If you participated in a game of Age of Sigmar and used the territory rules for one of the areas of the Steppe, you receive 3 additional Glory.

Razgor Beastbreaka settled in the Fangwood, happy to use the forest as his new hunting ground. Using the wood from the trees and the labour from the factions looking to earn his favour, Razgor sets up camp in the Fangwood, making tents and primitive pallisade walls. Whilst building, they discover a nearby skaven performing a ritual. Razgor recognises a chance for new Killaboss Kragotragg to prove himself, as well as some solid new trophies to collect, they assault the skaven.
(played a game against Skaven, narrative battleplan: The Ritual, decisive victory for Da Realmhuntaz, but my killaboss did get wounded.)
