Construction of the forward-base in Ghur has been a very steady ride. With the extra labour force of Hobgrots acquired in the initial invasion, the building of the crude castle has been fairly quiet. Gregek has indeed been a valuable asset to acquire, his skills with...
In the land of Nyxia, where the stars shine eternal, one of those celestial bodies has come crashing down to the realm. Magical energy spills from the impact crater, and many seek to take possession of the earthbound star. What will be the fate of the star, and what will it mean for the mortal realms?
On the edge of Ulgu, beyond the dominion of Order or the grip of Chaos, lies a land of unparalleled natural beauty. In this realm of perpetual night, the mists have parted to reveal a sky full of stars. Astromancers, scholars, and seers gather in Nyxia to divine meaning from the eternal star fields above them. But recently, some of those distant celestial bodies have come far closer than expected.
Plummeting from the heavens, a comet has landed just north of the city of Portent. Magical energy spills from the crater, and many have been drawn to investigate the fallen star to harness its magic to their own ends.
First among them is Hag-Prophet Kazi the Crone. A prominent member of Portent’s society, Kazi seeks the power of the fallen star to enhance her power within the city. Her vision for the city would have it become a center of learning with herself at the head, a beacon of light to rival even Sigmar’s mightiest creations.
Another individual seeking to bend the power of the star to their will is the enigmatic Ulfnir Voice of Dragons. Once a Stormcast in service to Sigmar, Ulfnir has rededicated himself in the service of the god beast Dracothion. He believes the star to be nothing less than a scale of Dracothion, and seeks to reforge it so it might be returned to him stronger than before.
Finally, Loon-boss Snozrot Grabbit also has designs for the star. Knowing it to be a shard of the Bad Moon, the Loon-boss seeks to destroy the shard in order to release the chaotic energy and cause mayhem throughout Nyxia.
But mighty though each of them might be, they cannot complete their objectives alone. So each has sent out a call for aid, and you have answered. Who will you side with, and what will the fate of the star mean for the mortal realms?

1) Check out the lore for the campaign and create a character of your own. (You can even host that character here on The Weave to participate in other events.)
2) Prepare a Path to Glory roster starting at 1000pts. This rooster can be used for both online and in-person games, and The Weave even has a tool for creating a Path to Glory roster.
3) Choose your side in the conflict, and review the Campaign Quests available for the current week of the campaign.
4) Play a Narrative Play Battleplan either from the Core Book or your army’s Battletome if you fulfill the requirements. Note that certain weeks of the campaign or specific Campaign Quests might recommend specific Battelplans from outside sources (i.e. Seasons of War: Thondia or adapted versions of Battleplans from 2E supplements). Resources for said recommended Battleplans will be provided at players’ request by the Event Organizer (Edboy #2014 on Discord).
5) Post a short, narrative summary of the game played in the Comments section of the corresponding Quest page, or notify the Event Organizer. If participating online, provide a link to any narrative, battle reports, photo(s), etc. detailing your participation in the Campaign Quest in the Comments section of the corresponding Quest page.
6) Optionally, you may submit a written narrative post or other forms of storytelling if you are unable to play a game during a week of the campaign. Send materials to the Event Organizer or post a link in the Comments section of the relevant Campaign Quest. You are encouraged to write narratives, draw pictures, or take stylish photos of your battles in addition to playing your game for the week!
As always, the most important part is to have fun and be cooperative in creating this story together!
Shifting Sensibilities
The stench of death laying over The Swallowing Bogs of The Hungering Steppe were familiar to Lord-Aquilor Lucina Chromsdottir. The stench of a Sludgeraker Beast compounding that, however, was not. Bor Goadfist, Boss Prime of the Bogswallow Marauders, seemed to delight...
Stunty’s in da Swamp
A small settlement of Hobgrots is the setting of today's tale. They are bickering with each other, bartering for goods, and generally doing what greenskins of the swamps do. The noise of the settlement were quickly deafened by a loud roar of another, almost echoing...
Those who seek the power of the Fallen Star:
Arch-Hekatos Kalazar – Master of the Roots
Kalazar was sent into Ghur to die, or so they thought. Without the support of the Ossiarch supply lines, they saw no way to maintain their forces. Upon arriving at the Fangwood, they realized that they could create a fortress from which the Bonereapers could ride out...
Bor Goadfist – Boss Prime O’ Da Minions
Unlike other hobgrots, Bor is a formidable opponent on the battlefield. While the Bogswallow Marauders prefer to use hit-and-run tactics, there are occasions where the hobgrots must engage their enemies in true combat. Bor relished the opportunity to sow fear into his...
Menthizar Kraeth – The Many Voiced Body
The leader of the Cult is the one who is possessed by the Voice. It would come and go, bouncing between hosts. The Cult believes the Voice as the guide given to them by their god. Now, the Voice is coming from Menthizar Kraeth, an assassin famed for his ability to...
Never played Narrative Games before, or feel a little anxious about them?
When you’re playing a narrative game, the key thing is to talk to your opponent. Make sure you both agree on the rules of the game as well as the narrative you are hoping to tell together. We recommend using the “Narrative Play” rules, but you can still have a rewarding experience if you have “Open Play” or “Matched Play” games.
Now that that’s out of the way, here are some very general ideas you could incorporate. If you’ve ever been to a narrative event, these might look familiar to you! These are in no particular order, and they are not campaign rules.
The Rule of Interesting
Use every game as a plot point. Promote your army’s, General’s, and Alliance’s objectives. Affect the story and the rest of the campaign by communicating both to your opponent during a game, and with others outside of the games. Make your army memorable! You’re awesome, and others think you’re awesome, so share stuff!
The Rule of Making Stuff Up
Want your army to do something not covered in the rules? Magic ritual? Dig up trenches? Sacrifice a prisoner? Talk to your opponent (or GM if you have one) and see if it can be arranged. Be flexible when you get similar requests or ideas.
The Rule of Collaboration
What happens between games can be as important as what happens during games. Collaborate: with your team, with the GM or campaign creator, with your rivals! Ask questions, take risks! Make alliances, and backstab people.
The Rule of a Cool Story
Your games are stories. Your goal for each game should be to co-create that story alongside your opponent, keeping your various Quest goals in mind. When in doubt, do what feels cool for your army. In-game Objectives be damned. The winners in Narrative Play are those who get the most laughs or applause from their crazy actions, not those who win the most games. If the player who ‘lost’ the game goes away excited with how it all unfolded, you’ve hit the mark!
