The Hidden Reserve

by: Lichcasts
In Khazalid: Thindrongol - The Hidden Reserve, a Kharadron frigate with the Sons of Bugman AEC, veered off the sky-whale migration it was hunting to answer a Kharadron distress beacon in the high airs above the Hungering Steppe.

There, Captain Okbryn Whisperport discovered a mysteriously abandoned krontanker, the Brynzongor, its large crew gone without a trace and without signs of battle. A duardin of questionable repute in the skyports, Captain Okbryn knew he could not easily tow the ship to claim salvage price; it needed a crew of its own, and he needed a narrative that wouldn’t paint him as a pirate. What he needed most was proof of what happened to the crew of the Byrnzongor, and with the ship’s last recorded coordinates at the border of the Hungering Steppe, the answers (or good enough) were likely to be here.

Warlord:

Captain Okbryn Whisperport
(Arkanaut Admiral)
Injury: Minor Injury
Renown Points: 29
Points: 125
Command Trait: War Wound
Warlord Core Enhancements and other Notes:

War Wound & Proclaimer Mask-hailer: Captain Okbryn's larynx was damaged in a Tzeentchian mantaray-rider ambush. The injury cost him his voice. He now speaks using a modified Proclamator Mask-hailer, which synthesises his voice using aethercomm technology.

His poor reputation is not wholly undeserved. Invited to a Ghurneth hunting party, Captain Okbryn succeeded in offending the aelves with his desire to both hunt for sport and for massive profit, proving to them that he has no regard for the balance of the plains.

In a business agreement with Bor Goadfist.

Territories

Stronghold:

Brynzongor (The Golden Lion)

Stronghold Territories

Maintenance Management (Ancient Roads): While not yet a two-way supply chain, the skylanes leading to Nassollotyl-Larimar is regularly patrolled by Grundstok contractors, allowing for a safe free-flow of goods and third-party personnel. Storage space is also being established aboard the Brynzongor in readiness.

Cracked-open Stormvault (Borderlands): A once-deadly ruin, now an oasis of worked stone platforms, providing safety from the Mouths of the Steppe that surround it. Serving as a stronghold, the Brynzongor - The Golden Lion - is anchored to the great pillars of this place, but the eerie peace is constantly threatened by belligerent orruk.

A Mouth of the Steppe (Realmstone Mines): UPGRADED. Chamonic metal platforms now span this Mouth, providing foundation for endrins, drills, and cranes to reach in and perform terraforming dentistry to extract the precious realmstone within.
