Tor Elsnore: The White Tower

The White Tower

In the north of the Lumineth nation of Illiatha lies a small city situated in the middle of a river. A city born from a bloody battle and a sworn oath, one that ties the cities and its people to a great and horrible cycle.

Founded after the Wars of the Reinvention by Caradrya the Oathkeeper, Tor Elsnore stands in the middle of the River Onduleuse.  Before the Spirefall, the tor was home to a strategic fortress that controlled river trade from the fertile farms to the south and the bay of Dever to the north. This location was its downfall as Syarn forces made many pushes towards the tower in hopes to use it as a foothold into the lightly defended plains to the south.

The tower was besieged for many months until one day the Syans brought out an experimental weapon, a pure aetherquartz bomb. However, when it detonated a portal to Slaanesh’s plane of the warp was opened and the surrounding landscape was turned into pure, non-magical quartz. Hoards of deamonetts came pouring through and slaughtered both side’s survivors.

The portal would remain active until the final days of the Wars of Reinvention when Illiathaneth and Syareth forces marched on the valley. Lead by Caradrya the Oathkeeper, this coalition struck deep into the heart of the beast, fight bloody battle after bloody battle until they came to the island where the portal stood. So began the battle of the Onduleuse were, at the last possible moment, a coalition of Scinari mages sealed the rift and purified the island.

It was on top of the Tor when they say Caradrya took her oath. To protect the realms from destruction. It was there to she sealed her fate. It was there too where she built her fastness.

Tor Elsnore, the city of the gleaming tower, stands tall and proud. It is both a monument to the greatness of the Aelves and to their downfalls. Trade flows through the ports like the water of the river around them, great warriors and wizards train in the courtyard of the Tower itself. The city spread in perfectly planned streets with building styles from all ten nations. It seemed like a masterpiece, yet the art does not reflect the artist.

Tor Elsnore holds many secrets. The politically corrupt Magistrates who serve her who sits in the Gleaming Thrown. The mystery surrounding the creation of another Caradrya. And the most unknown, what deal did the Oathkeeper really make…

Now, after the death of Lord-Regent Caradrya the Swift and her first heir, another clone named Caradrya the Stoic, Bladelord Seneschal Galadri Highcrest was named Heir-Apparent by the final will of the Swift. The Magistrates, however, have given the total to a distant relation of the Oathkeeper, Maedilarys the Knowing as they fear another brash ruler like the Swift. They claim that the final will is null and void due to the strain that the Swift was under in her final days. On the night of the Decree though, 2/3 of the Elsnore army went rouge and ran to the foothills around the river, waiting for the return of Galadri from the Prime Dominion. Two forces now muster in the Onduleuse Valley, one a gleaming Lumineth upon high walls, the other an army of Iscarneth, Kharadron, and the 2/3 that fled.

A storm is brewing in the Valley, the currents of the river seem to slow at the time. When the first horn sounds, a bloody civil war begins.

Clan Scruten

Race to the Vault

Tzeentchian sorcerers have turned their attention to the Doomstretch, with dire consequences for the aelves of the region and the realm as a whole…

A blot on eastern Ymetrica, the Doomstretch is avoided by sane souls. The sky churns with aftershocks from intense magical combat, and the land is split by constant tectonic agony. Beneath the Doomstretch was buried a loathsome relic, named in crystal tablets as Yngr’yme or the ‘Shackler of Peaks’. While records of the artefact’s precise nature were lost, legend spoke of its ability to enslave the minds of the mountains – a sin beyond measure in Ymetrica.

If Tzeentch’s forces were to claim such a relic, they could inflict wounds upon Ymetrica that might undo the work of the Reinvention. Whatever Lumineth forces could be mustered were drawn together, even if it occasionally required Sigmarite allies to be abandoned mid-campaign. To the aelves, it was a grievous but necessary sacrifice. They could only hope to reach the Doomstretch vault before all was lost.
