A World-wide Soulbound Event:

Western Marches

The Ghurish Heartlands, where everything is trying to eat everything else – including the continents, is a realm that calls for adventurers! This Soulbound campaign is styled after the Western Marches concept, popularized by Ben Robbins. We run the campaign out of our Discord server, and welcome anyone who’s interested in playing to come in and say hello!

If you’ve not heard of a Western Marches campaign, then the best place to start is some basic concepts. The idea behind this style of play is to allow for players and GMs to play when they’re able; while giving plenty of control over the story to the players and alleviating some of the common stressors to GMs. As such;

1) There was no regular time: every session is scheduled by the players on the fly within the discord server.

2) There is no regular party: each game has different players drawn from the pool of players within the server.

3) The Sessions follow a Meta-Plot, but are much more episodic in nature letting each Session be its own Story

The Story So Far
How to Participate

Step 1) Join the West Marches Discord
Step 2) Feel free to be a Player, GM, or Both! The brilliant part of a West Marches campaign is the ability to jump into adventures when it’s possible, and not feel as if you’re obligated to attend everything, all the time, for ever.
Step 3) Join in on Sessions, at times you’ve organised and works for you, or even do some light PbP Role-playing

The Setting
The Ghurish Heartlands
Adventuring teams are constantly on the move, going out into the Ghurish Heartlands, and discovering new and exciting stories. Using the Castle of Lost Names, this allows the groups to venture far afield, throughout Lendu, and even beyond.
Castle of Lost Names
Eons ago, before Sigmar's Might & Great Races of the Old World graced the Mortal Realms, powerful Races & Empires roamed these Realms; the greatest in Ghur being the Drogurkh Race. Millenia Before Kragnos raised his bloody mace, a Grand Citadel was raised by the Drogurkh People to celebrate their Culture, and eons later as Kragnos rose again, the residual magic blesses those worthy enough of the task. The task - to defeat Kragnos.
Lendu Air Temple
Kreulboyz dominated Lendu by dominating the Skies with the Air Temple. After vicious skirmishes the Temple was surrounded and stormed leading to a bloody battle. With Northern Lendu liberated, more questions are raised as the Temple was built over lost tunnels with unknown magic & horrors
Your Creations

We’re inviting all of our players and GMs to contribute to this campaign! If you head over to the standard submissions page of the Weave, you’ll be able to submit your very own Heroes, armies, creatures, locations, or even fully-fledged stories that tell of your exploits within the area. When you do so, they’ll appear both in our Ghur Realm page, as well as on this page for all to see!

Barak-Udum

Barak-Udum, the City of Storms, is a sky-port of the Kharadron Overlords in Ghur, floating above the peaks of Lendu. To protect the sky-port from the many predatory beasts roaming the skies, the duardin of Barak-Udum have devised the Storm Beacons, floating devices...
