A captain’s passing

The Resident Sassmaster

Civilia was a trap, that’s what Gaston now knew. His Ghouls-at-Arms had to retreat, but half of his forces were captured, including the Crypt Infernal, Captain Levi. The same Captain Levi that he was able to help escape from the dungeon of the mad inventor, Sorrah Nikos. The ghouls that weren’t with him were either dead or dying in Civilia, not that his forces were doing well either. It was a quiet ride to where the once floating city now was grounded in.

 

Gaston would look out to the ring of burnt foliage caused by the airships floating above the city. “By the Lord and Lady, what has happened here?”

The army’s herald would hail the guards, who would let them inside the city. During the Ghouls-at-Arms’ stay in the city, they would send word back home along with the body of Captain Levi.

 

One late night as he would read reports of various goings-on in Rondhol, one would stick out to him in particular.

“Knights, they say? It’s risky, going into that accursed “Furioth Dell”, however they could aid me in getting my ghouls back.”

He would get up from his desk and gaze out a window. The ghurish night sky was familiar to him, hopefully it brought a bit of comfort to his ghouls that were in the clutches of that witch and her skaven forces.

 

When more of his ghouls from Ventoleo arrived at the city, he was quick to give out orders to find these mysterious knights of the dell….
