The largest skyport within The Arid Lands Of Trirah, Barak-Got fills a very important role within the Lands. Having an incredibly large fleet, yet barely half of them being armed, Barak-Got acts as the primary form of transportation within The Arid Lands. For a fair price, the Ferrymen of Barak-Got pledge to take you and your cargo from point A to point B unharmed. With little enemies in the sky, they are rather safe to make that pledge. In the rare event your travels are interrupted and/or your cargo lost, your travel is paid back and the skyport sends forth the Hawks. These are the most heavily armed ships within the fleet, armed to the teeth and crewed by the strongest and most battle hardened warriors within the skyport. The Hawks have rarely failed to retrieve lost cargo and are honorbound to try, even at risk of death, or face exile. Becoming a Hawk is the highest honour within the skyport, a badge of honour to showcase a duardin is one of the best of the Barak. Even then, the Hawks and Ferrymen accept any willing volunteers to join their ranks, as long as they make an oath to follow their code, which includes forsaking any gods you may worship.
Barak-Got does not take sides in war and always ferries anyone who pays. Without them, The Arid Lands would be nowhere near as well developed as it is. The rare resources the Lands produce would never be exported and money would never be brought back. As such, the Ferrymen are held in high regard, often being offered free drink and food at many taverns and pubs.
The Ferrymen have many offices, stations and ports at all the large cities, and many of the smaller ones. Even along the Golden road it is hard to go without running into one of the stations, where a skyvessel passes by each day.
