As the Great Awakening beneath Ghur begins to build, the land itself begins to shift. A massive tusk of rock bursts forth from the ground, high above the horizon. Kalazar and the Bloodroot Legion seek to take this ‘Toothspire’ in order to gain vision over the lands of the Steppe. The Cult of Unseen do not want this spire to fall into the hands of any force that would grant insight into their dealings. If they can’t take the spire for themselves, they’d rather see it fall.
This quest allows you to gain a reward by fighting alongside one of the warlords. Either Arch-Hekatos Kalazar of the Bloodroot Legion or Menthizar Kraeth of the Cult of the Unseen. You do not need to have settled in either of the Warlord’s areas in order to fight alongside these warlords. Please indicate which Warlord you are supporting in the comments below.
If you had pledged to a Warlord in the second phase, you are not required to support them in phase three. There are no mechanical consequences for not fulfilling your pledge to a warlord. However, you only have one other chance to support this warlord. If you do not support this warlord at least once during the campaign, you will be labeled as an Oathbreaker narratively
Played a war cry game against a Sylvaneth player. I will take the 6 glory points and the 3 Renown also, because I am backing the Cult of the Unseen, so I will be taking the ability Fade into Shadows.

Telidan’s forces set up a camp near the Toothspire. He nervously waited for his scouts to return. Menthizar’s cultists must have been near and preparing for battle. Telidan could not afford to fail – for his plan to succeed, Kalazar had to trust him and what better way to gain trust of your liege than winning his battles for him? Suddenly, eerie trumpets could be heard in the distance. Telidan was sure what it meant – his scouts failed and let forces of the Unseen to surprise his. “Alandile!” he shouted. “Form shieldwall. We cannot let those fools to capture the Toothspire! Victory will be ours! For Dornayar! For Elusedrod!”
After heeding the call of the Lord Menthizar of the Cult of the Unseen, Inquisitor Vollastor’s messengers explained the Inquisition’s interest in the Toothspire as a potential leyline focus, as well as in establishing a relationship with the Cult. The negotiations went well but tensely, and the Inquisition is aware they will be betrayed at the slightest notice. Very well, then, nothing unexpected here. They shall show them why one should keep them as friends, instead of enemies.

The Bloodroot Sylvaneth of Arch-Hekatos Kalazar had already encircled the Toothspire in a dense thicket by the time the Inquisition approached. Marching slowly into the Bloodroot in a front assault, the immortal soldiers of the Inquisition held the battleline for hours, while the Hounds and beasts of the Inquisition encircled the enemy and pinned the enemy. Then the vampire captains joined the fray to cut down the treemen.
After taking heavy losses, the Bloodroot finally breaks.
With the Path to the Toothspire free, the Inquisition regroups to re-animate their troops and salvage their number, adding to them from long-buried cadavers of orruks and other denizens of the Steppe, as they slowly make their way to the tall spire, and the forces of the Cult of the Unseen.
A new defensible position must be taken, to defend this access point, and stave off further incursions. The Hounds, re-assembled from their dismembered component parts, are now up on their paws and sent on the hunt again.
