Well, that didn’t take long. It had been a mere moment since Azyr had announced its plan to see Blood Bowl become the new best thing in the free cities of the Mortal Realms (you can read more about the announcement here) before cities the Realms-over descended into anarchy as city-folk attempted to gain the notice of coaches seeking to become famous. Cities like Anvilguard, Excelsis, and Tempest’s Eye all have burgeoning try-out systems going up throughout the city, even before a stadium has been made. Rumour has it even cities like The Black Onyx, Nochseed, and Scrappa Spill also have similar games being held.
One of these more hotly-contested leagues is currently being held in Excelsis, with multiple coaches pitting aspiring players against each other. Here, and elsewhere, the initial rules for the sport have been thrown out of the window in order that more games (and more carnage) can be had. Azyr though, ever-responsive to the changing times, has immediately legitimatized these games, affirming the fan-made name of “Blitz Bowl”, and have sent out coaches from Azyr to help coaches run games.
