When the forests of the Fangwood ate their way to the surface of the realm, the forces of the Ossiarch Bonereapers saw an opportunity. The ossified sylvaneth of the wood were separated from the realm roots of Alarielle and were willing to join the Legion to prevent the utter destruction of their people.
Together they struck an accord. Through careful calculations, the Ossiarch would harvest the trees of the Fangwood while the Sylvaneth oversaw the reforestation. This harvest cycle allows the Legion to build up its forces without destroying the forest.
The Mortisans and the Branchwyches also work towards creating the perfect soldiers utilizing the bonebark trees of the Fangwood. The ferality of Ghur seeps into these soldiers, but that is a necessary deviation from Katakros’s design. By absorbing the Amber Bones, the legionnaires are able to bring down massive beasts threatening their demesne.
The Amber Stampede presents an opportunity for the legion to spread the purview of the Fangwood and to use these new settlers as the labor force for harvesting the bone-bark necessary to strengthen their military.
