Da Voidfang Skrap

Urgoth laughed as Bonecracka chomped down on one of the knight’s steeds. Chunks of the warboss’s armor had fallen off. He was covered in scrapes and cuts and had at least one humie blade sticking out of him. Bonecracka also had a few spears stuck in him. It was the most fun the orruk can remember having.

Bashing through that wall had left both Ironjaw and MawKrusha a little dazed, but the Fae had little chance to capitalize on it. The boyz had come in like a flood. Brutes smashed their way through the Fae lines, gutrippas following to exploit openings and kill and knights that fell off their steeds. Boltboys climbed the battlements and used the height to harry the Fae troops’ own missile units. A couple shaman’s blasted green energy at the enemy while the new warchanter laid out a beat to kill by. Urgoth thought he saw Dethmuttera and one of the Boltboy bosses disappear into the keep but paid it little mind.

It wasn’t just the boyz, either. Dem pale humies dat scare the storm god worshipping ones joining the battle.  Ghouls in livery formed long spear lines to hold back their foes, leaving opening for heavily armored horrors to crash into the Fae lines. Flayers in light armor cleared the battlements with their screams. Urgoth thought he saw their leader picking Fae knights off their mounts with his bow as he yelled orders. The ghoul boyz fought slightly apart from Urgoth’s boyz but both forces seemed aware of their combined goal.

The spiky boyz had also joined the ruckus like they had said they would. Red spiky boyz were getting stuck in alongside the orruks venting their rage on the knights. Strangely perfumed humies danced between the knights, their knives and swords finding weak spots in their armor. Beaked spikies flying on discs joined the battle in the air. An especially ferocious force called the Steel Fang fought their way deeo into Enemy lines, although Urgoth did not see what happened to them after.

Down below along the voidfang’s legs Urgoth’s goregruntas supported Razgor’s assault on the beast itself. Durbok was nominally in charge, although mostly he hung onto the back of a grunta for dear life while its rider chuckled. The gruntas harried the Fae forces surrounding the beast and made charges on any knights trying to take out Razgor’s boltboys and killbows, joined by a single oddly riderless snarlfang.  Only so many Orruks could catch a ride to the fortress with Flappy’s cousins and those left behind were seconded to the Realmhuntas with orders to support them.

Lastly, inside the fort the shaman Dethmuttera led a sceptical Boltboss Snagruk and small force of brutes and boltboyz. The shaman claimed his main goal was to open some for the forts gates to let the attacking forces flood into the castle in greater numbers. This they did but Snagruk also got the feeling the muttering shaman was looking for something. At one point they were nearly overwhelmed by Fae knights when a group of armored Crypt Horrors and ghoul spearmen routed them. Unsure how to respond Snagruk attempted a humie salute, surprised to find it returned by the ghoul troop leader before they vanished into a corridor.

Back outside the fortress Urgoth saw the shock of the assault was fading. Fae troops were regrouping, and starting to reap their own deadly toll upon their attackers. Urgoth smiled at this. It wouldn’t be a proper scuffle if da uvver side didn’t get some hits in, and this was looking to be the biggest skrap Urgoth had ever had the joy of fighting.
