Empress of The Resurrected

Sevnachta, so called Empress of the Ressurected of the city of Drakheim watched from the city’s spires as a band of flying dwarves and floating aelves duelled each other on the plains near the city, her head tilting to the side as she contemplated the events of the past week. Waking up after too long a slumber, too long without the vital essences her kind needed, only to be branded in her weakened state, forced to rise to the cities defenses….even now Sigmar’s rune burned upon her arm, compelling her to defend the city.

She looked at the pitiful host she had gathered. There hadn’t been time to dig deep into the vaults of her family, to draw out those blood knights and other fiends that had been buried along with her. No, for the moment, she had skeletal warriors, a pitiful flock of fell bats, summoned to do her bidding and a triplet of slavering vargheists.

How wonderful.

She waited until the Idoneth had forced the dwarves to retreat before swooping down upon them (Narrative mission; Idoneth started in the center, and I had the rest of the table), encircling their forces, Sevnachta ignored the vile curses of the leader of the deepkin, focusing instead on using her vargheists and fell bats to draw the Idoneth’s Allopex and Archers away from her, to allow the true terror of her dynasty to take wing above her, Kar the ancient terrorgheist, only recently brought to life by the use of Nachta’s own vitar and necromantic prowess took wing, it’s deathly screeches eliminating the archers where the stood and savaging the Allopex.

Her Terrorgheist’s interruption brought the Idoneth leader to the field, the Aelf riding the waves to come charging at her, which of course, as a mortal was his final mistake. Rapier, claws and tails lashed out at an opponent expecting an honorable duel, who instead learned the bestial fury of the Vengarii Dynasty.

When all was said and done, only the reavers remained, easily picked off after expending their energies against the skeleton guard she had brought along, Truthfully, the aftermath was a red haze of devouring hunger, only to be brought back to her senses by a Knight-Questor, who held the key to her rune. Lyndis Hausendottir….

The Knight-Questor knew of a weapon that might end The Fell Dragon, and the vampiress and her undead would be her tool….so the Stormcast thought. Sevnachta would play along for now.
