The Amber Stampede Breaks Loose

This quest is where the podcast "Path to Story" will take place. As the armies from the podcast explore the area, feel free to explore it yourself as well.

Game Master Notes

These notes exist to help you run through the Quest. They are put here by the creator and should give you some direction as to what they had in mind when they created the Quest

Comment below tell us which location you’ve settled in. You can also comment in the comments section of the relevant location to really stake your claim! This first round is mostly a trial run of the system. Will set up calculations to see how the regions stack are balanced based on results to see if the tool needs any tweaking.

- Sevvir -

As the doors of the Stormvault opened, Petral the Thornborn and the forces of the Living City could feel the very foundations of Ghur rumble in anger. Monstrous beasts barreled out of the vault in an amber cloud of devastation. The forces of the Dawnbringer Crusade watched on as the massive stampede continued out across the Hungering Steppe. In their wake, the beasts left behind the ruins of tribes too slow to escape and corpses mutated by the Amber Bones of Ghur.

With the discovery of the Amber Stampede, many see the Steppe as a way to increase their own power. The local factions welcome these newcomers as a way to increase their own might and power.

New settlements pop up as long-lost secrets are discovered. But how long will this era of relative peace last?

Discover new locations such as:

  • The Plains of the Hungering Steppe: Flatlands that will burst open with sink hole maws filled with the rocky teeth of the land itself.
  • The Swallowing Bog: Wetlands full of inky mud that pulls the unprepared beneath the surface into the dark lake below.
  • The Fangwood: A forest of ossified trees, where sylvaneth and bonereapers alike battle over the arborous bones.

Logistics:

This current quest is a placeholder. On January 17th, there will be three new quests available. Each one will allow you to settle in a new area of the Hungering Steppe and will have their own rewards.

Rewards

Sometimes a Quest creator will tell you what you get for completing the Quest, depending of the outcome of course. If there is nothing, you can obviously create your own rewards, ahhh… imagine the possibilities…

Have you played through this Quest or Rumour?

If you’ve played through or resolved this in any way, be sure to tell us right here on the Quest page, we’d love to know what happened!

Can I just say, that this is a wonderful idea, tying a Quest to something like a podcast! Brilliant!
