Clawlord Commander Vreek Spitefur barked orders to the scurrying clan rats.
“Now-now get in line you vermin” he hissed at the skaven moving about ” Here come the green-things, these are our leylines now”
Swarms of clan rats formed up into makeshift ranks preparing for the incoming charge. A robed rat holding what looks like a makeshift rocket launcher steps forward, then directs a Doomwheel to head off to a flank. Orcs start pouring through the tree line and into the clearing and just before they connect streams of green warpstone bullets start pouring out of the units. Ork-things start dropping like flies, multiple ratlin guns rain fire down on the incoming orc-things.
“Doomwheel kill-kill the big-uns” yells Nelkit a Warlock bombardier to the careening doomwheel
With a loud crack and a blinding flash of green light several brutes are blasted to pieces. At the same time Vreek leads a charge into the ard-boys still reeling from ratling gun fire. With a crunch the clan rats slam into the ard-boys which excites the boys and they make a good showing killing clan rats but unfortunately that was just to hold them still for the the incoming rockets that came raining down upon them slaughtering the ard-boys to a orc. Vreek rushes the megaboss which accepts the challenge with a roar. Vreek uses his speed to close in and then actives his rustcurse shield which dis-enchants the megabosses weapons, who then is confused about what happened and in that moment takes several blows from Vreek while blocking the reprisal with his shield. The two continued to dual while all around the skaven weapons were taking a bloody toll on the orcs. But then while all was going down Nelkit rocket malfunctions and explodes killing the warlock. With the explosion the warboss finally looks around and realizes that this is a lost effort, with that the warboss disappears in to the woods.
With the field taken the Vreek starts setting up defences to continue to control the ley lines in this area. Losses were steep and the loss of a warlock will be a tough and costly one to replace but at least the beach head is secured.
