Lord Aichmos – The Barbed King

Aichmos was a mighty chaos lord serving under the banner of khorne long before he ended up in the interstice. His Bloodtide warband roved the plains of Aqshy, conquering any bastion of civilization he would come across, claiming skulls and spilling blood for his glorious patron. But this was ground to a halt when the Stormcast began to appear.

While he met the challenge with fervour, the losses he suffered left him feeling embittered and listless. Despite some minor victories, his forces were repelled time and time again making him slip ever further from the favour of his blood god. While attempting to open a rift to the chaos realm, his fortress and forces were consumed by the uncontrolled portal, hurling them into the interstice. 
 
Once they had settled into the thorn mountains, proclaiming it as the Spire of Aichmos, he began sending his roving bands across the realmscape. They decimated any opposition that they came across all the while adding more to his own forces from those that bowed to him. In this subrealm, Aichmos didn’t feel the gaze of khorne as intensely and due to this, he has become more complacent. He spends most of his time within his fortress, ordering others to do his bidding rather than joining the vanguard to seek personal glory. However, when a truly worthy opponent or powerful artefact is found, he will often make personal appearances in order to secure his rightful place as supreme ruler of his warband and territories
