Melkhior was a great hero, a saviour some would say. He was proclaimed protector of his town and defeated many a war tribe chieftain who’d thought their land easy pickings… However as his fame grew so did his ego which knew no bounds. A golden statue was placed in the centre of Volcor. Further golden ornaments were placed throughout the town which were all owned by Melkhior but “shared” amongst his people. As the years passed the townsfolk would be seen whispering from darkened alleyways, scurrying away from his mere presence when Melkhior walked among the townsfolk. He was, their saviour, but also their executioner. Around Volcor town stood erected hangman nooses. Bodies still present of those who he had slain or of those who broke the law, his law. Thousands of hangman nooses were scattered throughout the town and it’s borders. Those who’d abide by the law led a good life, albeit in fear of slipping up.
Melkhior was eventually slain in battle when a warband of Khorne descended upon the town. However this was not the end of his journey. Nagash had noticed his soul and had been watching and waiting, for what is time to one such as Nagash. Melkhior has now returned to lead the dead and to continue his art and such is the humour of Nagash, Melkhior has been fitted with the apparatus he’d used for a life time and is forever tormented by those who he had slain.
