Nature’s Fury

May 18, 2022

Kat
Lyndis thought she knew where clues to the weapon might be hidden, out where the Sylvaneth had begun to grow a glade, summoning an Incarnate of Ghur. It was the curse of Pride that did Nachta in, believing with all her vampiric arrogance that she could fight and win versus mere tree-lovers.

Oh how wrong she was.

Believing her terrorgheist, renewed after the fight with the Idoneth to be more than a match, she sent it after the Incarnate, only for everything to promptly go quite wrong. The first thing to go wrong was a spell that erupted among her horde, Nature’s fury tearing even into her toughened hide and ancient armor, briefly obscuring, then revealing the fact that Lyndis had gone unconscious, and her terrogheist was in ruins, but…recoverable. The distraction lasted long enough for her agents to get their claws on the clue, thus, she gathered the Knight-Questor up, laughter ringing from the vampiress as she imagined Lyndis’s horror that she was being saved by a Gravelord!

Nevertheless, once they retreated from the glade, the Sylvaneth and their cursed incarnate did not follow. Lyndis was returned to the Stormcast host, and Nachta to the lichyards of the city, to plot, and plan, her skeletons digging…unearthing the blood knights that had laid dormant, her vanguard of yore. Oh yes, she would have her revenge, very soon. Fighting for this cursed city was turning out to be quite interesting, especially as the gleam of old bronze caught her eye…a Stormcast burial? How wonderfully useful.
