Large monsters roam the lands, often living underground to stay out of the everpresent sun. On the Lands, the sun rarely sets, offering little respite from the heat. The Arid Lands thrive in their unique resources it provides, like various expensive fabrics, sunforged steel, tasty plantlife and other assets, which allows the Arid Lands to trade with others, making some cities very rich. This attracts the unwanted attention of all kinds of bandits and criminals.
