Meanwhile, Lord Krazbeck was dispatched with a force of cultists and monsters to join his beastmen allies, Nurgles slaves of darkness marching ever further.
In Isen creek, the cultist horde encountered the ogre feast, and prepared to take over their maw pot, and kill the ogres for nurgle.
The Chaos champion declared himself general (As ravagers, the subfaction), and summoned a collection of untamed beast cultists which ambushed the ironblaster. Leaving a unit of Iron Golems to defend their baggage train, the cultists and lords moved forward to slaughter the ogres. An ambushing gorger disrupted the left flank, killing a spawn, before being killed himself by the champion. The entire right flank was unorganized and failed to charge at all.
All the while, leadbelchers fired away with glee, one unit killing almost nothing, the other devastating marauders and cultists. Magic flew across the table, wrapping a unit of cultists in a sheet of flame. The next turns were bloody, with the gorger being killed, Lord Krazbeck declaring himself general and summoning a unit of iron golems behind the firebelly, and finally charging in on the right flank with many cultists. By now most of the cultists on the left flank had died, and only one untamed beast was left, defying the ogres on the ironblaster. Eventually, he did die, although allowing the unit of spire tyrants to charge in and keep the blaster from shooting once. The left flank was aflame as the burning cultists died, and were cut down savagely, as were the newly arrived iron golems, and the chaos champion. Meanwhile, the right flank looked better for chaos, almost killing the blaster, forcing a unit of leadbelchers to run away, and killing the slaughtermaster. However, time had run out, and the tyrant finally forced Lord Krazbeck to retreat alongside the surviving iron golems who defended the train, and the spire tyrants.
1000 points slaves to darkness vs. ogre mawtribes, minor victory for ogres (who need a new chef to cook the dozens of bodies on the battlefield, it was a bloodbath).
The heroic beasts, who kept an ironblaster in close combat the entire game, before being wiped to a man.
