The Battle of The Dark Gods Laughter

Oct 18, 2023

There are only a few times in the history of the Realms that the Armies of Khorne and the Armies of Tzeentch were both so massive and evenly matched. The dried eternal blood of the Gorequake still stained Ghur with a horrific crimson sheen. The oncoming Tzeentch host was a Blue-Purple Cyclone, a horrific screaming storm that beckoned all to look. That beckoned all to be consumed by it

The two armies clashed in Aridia Valley, though years later it wouldn’t be known by its name. Both armies historically noted for their discipline quickly broke down into bedlam as bloodthirsty howls clashed with unbridled spells

There was a Bloodthirster that flew up to slay an enemy. However within seconds it was ripped apart by an Arcane Volley. A Lord of Change began to warp time, however it was instantly ripped to shreds by ravenous arrows & gunpowder. Endless Spells went off like limp fireworks in the rows and rows of dying warriors. Miracles from Gods that would’ve leveled cities were nothing more than dots in the oceans of battle

To anyone there they could look feel the Heart of Chaos itself. Hear the dark contemptuous laughter of Khorne & Tzeentch growing louder. A laugh that seemed to signify that all those dying here that it meant nothing. All those with the Red or Blue Banners being the butt of a long ancient sick joke

The lines between warriors blurred. Desraki, Blue Lion, Templar, Blood Wolf. The individual barriers between them all melded. What was different became the same. Aridia Valley would be known as the Abomination Maw. The Birthing Place of the Horrid Hybrids. The Creatures that were the unholy fusions of Devotees to Khorne & Tzeentch alike

Tzeentch Mages that walk with an everpresent Bloodletter embedded in their back. Clawing at them every time a spell is cast. Khornate Axeman, cursed with magic that slowly depletes them. Soldiers of either side fused in horrific anatomy. Madness and Self-Hate everywhere
