(OOC SECRET KNOWLEDGE)
The mysterious, apparently aelven diplomat now known as Lady Malfleur was in fact once Udamone Claspthirst, a promising Hag Priestess, and a Daughter not only of Khaine by devotion but of a prominent Hag Queen by blood, serving in the Hagg Nar Temple in Hammerhal Ghyra. Udamone was better known for the subtler side of her Khainite duties, theology, intrigue and diplomacy rather than the field. She was the clear favourite and heiress presumptive of her mother, and as such resented by many of her more martial rivals.
However, she squandered her mother’s good opinion by showing mercy in a delicate but crucial affair. As such she was exiled from the Ghyranite Temple, but her mother retained enough residual affection to gain Udamone a prominent, if dangerous, second chance. The Claspthirst priestess was appointed to observe the charismatic Hag Queen Arali Heartsbane and report on her intentions directly to the High Oracle as the Heartsbane prosecuted a bloodthirsty pilgrimage beside Lake Bykaal in Shyish. Rumour attributed to Udamone both a ruse that saved Arali’s life, and the plot that ultimately took it.
In the final stage of the Bykaal conflict Udamone collaborated with new Undead allies to free the ancient vampire Mithridates Alti, and to raid a Stormvault for personal gain. After this she entirely vanished, and was presumed a deserter and embezzler, with an astronomical price being placed on her head by Arali’s newly arrived successor as Hag Queen, Hellendra Fayscorn. She has never since been found.
In truth, whatever Udamone Claspthirst found, or was found by, in that Stormvault changed her very nature, and her allegiance, utterly. As The Lady Malfleur she has what she always craved, independence of action, though at a cost untold.
