The family made themselves invaluable as allies to the early settlers of the city, presenting themselves as merchants of great means who had found avenues of profit among the roiling rivers of Rondhol. Members of The House of Vermillio now sit on The Council of Khardihr and, along with the College of Engineers and the Navigators Guild, play a major part in the decisions of the city.

In truth, the Vermillios are a Soulblight bloodline drawing from mixed heritage of the Vyrkos Dynasty and Nulahmia, combining the bestial strength needed to survive in Ghur with the cunning to truly thrive. More than anything, they desire to amass and control all of the wealth flowing into and out of Rondhol. To this end, it’s rumored The House of Vermillio has called upon their wayward cousin, Lord Carminnios, and their fleet, The Dread Myriad, to conquer The Svlind and claim its valuable trade routes.
