The overboss of Da Choppas , Ka-rokk , is a shaman – unusual amongst Ironjawz warclans – and his zeal for tearing down and stomping on those he considers defilers of Ghur, is a guiding beacon for greenskins, thrumming with energies of the Waaagh.
Respected for both is fiery rhetoric and daring scraps against his own kind (to teach ‘em da right paff), Ka-rokk is guided by visions and dreams, where he hears the voice of Gorkamorka demanding him to teach his lazy kin “da propa wayze” and to invent new manners of waging war against the trespassers into their boyz’ hunting grounds. He speaks constantly to his Wyrdsquig for advice, a surly creature whose breath induces hallucinogenic visions and dream quests on those guided by it. It seems the creature responds to Ka-rokk in some way, with grunts, squeals and by spitting on the floor, though no one other than Ka-rokk seems to be able to divine meaning from its actions. The boyz say their overboss has probably eaten too many shrooms, though never within earshot of him.
His shamanic position already saw him appeal to the superstitious Bonesplitterz. This intensified at the battle of Raka’s Basin, where his pet Maw-krusha, Godgouga, savaged a walking stone idol of Gorkamorka followed by the four Wurrgog Prophets channeling power through it – for Da Choppas believe that Gork guides them and don’t really care who or what they destroy. Following this, the Bonesplitterz tribes came to the conclusion that this was divine punishment and that it was time to get a proper Waaagh! going, with Ka-rokk to lead them.
With the strength of his own warclan joined to the fanatical bonesplitterz, Ka-rokk sent his hordes into the wetland lairs of the kruleboyz. After several satisfying brawls fought amongst the mangrove swamps, the conniving orruks were eventually convinced that there was much plunder to be had in raiding south and toppling Sigmarite outposts along the way. Just as valuable as the Kruleboyz warriors, however, were the heaps of rusting scrap found in their encampments – a rare resource in Ghur, but one the orruks had gradually amassed over years of raiding.
Wyrdsquig
Wyrdsquig is the sacred pet of Ka-rokk, a surly grumpy creature whose breath can induce hallucinations. It inspires the shaman’s visions and communicates cryptic advice to its master.
