Nassollotyl

During the Age of Myth, when Gorkamorka was given the task of clearing the wild countries as the premier monster hunter for the Great Alliance, vast swaths of Ghur, the Realm of Beasts, were targeted by the Twin-headed god. One of these spaces was the Argharock Dominion. Situated north of the Forest of Gorch, near the Coast of Tusks, Argharock, as with the rest of Ghur, is a reality of titanic monsters and primordial savagery. A place of conflict, wildness, brutality, and survival. Embodying this constant struggle, Argharock is home to a centuries-old struggle between two colossal beasts, Nasson and Neolotl. As myth in Ghur oft goes, the two creatures are tied to the great Gorkakorka, and it is said that when he was clearing the Argharock Dominion he decided to take a drink from the nearby Lakes of Raptamoth. While he sat awhile and drank his fill, Nasson and Neolotl began their conflict, while still very small. Humoured by their scuffle, Gorkamorka spared them, thinking that they were too small anyway. Centuries later, neither of the great beasts has given up on their fight, even though they now stand as tall as the mountains and landscape about them.

Neolotl sits, blind, atop a lake of lava, with webbed feet aflame the lake itself seems to provide a heat that Neolotl likes. He sits surrounded by jagged mountain peaks, the snows and avalanches of which fight against the lake, creating vast waterways that strike off away from Neoltl along the canyons created by Nasson.

Nasson herself, as if in contrast with her nemesis, is in constant flux. The creature walks constantly, her armoured legs carrying a massive slate-grey frame. Her head, as huge as a large hill, is constantly attempting to aim its ginormous horn towards Neolotl. As regular as Hysh and Ulgu, Nasson crashes into Neolotl, and, as has now been the case for untold years, the clash results in Nasson veering off to the side, widening and deepening an existing canyon made centuries ago. Nasson then slowly loops around, and so begins the process all over again.

The regularity of this gargantuan clash, and the relative safety that the beasts provide, has meant that both Nasson and Neolotl are home to two halves of a burgeoning city, Nassollotyl. Nassollotyl exists in two parts; tall gleaming spires grace the back of Nasson, while industry and etherwork communities are carved into and within the rock-hard spires that grow atop Neolotl. These two sections work in tandem, and denizens of the two halves often cross over the various sides while the two creatures collide.

The city of Nassollotyl was central to many a great battle recently when a massive worm passed between the god-beasts and instigated a Dawnbringer Crusade. The great Kragnos had trampled through the Amber Steppes of Ghur, disrupting the creatures that call the area home, including the Great Worms that criss-cross the land. One of these Worms off her traditional migration path and crossed the lands that lie between the grasslands and the symbiotic pair of god-beasts. Many great deeds and battles occurred during this time, and it has forever changed the city as well as Nasson and Neolotl.

For one, it was found out that Neolotl was actually in possession of an egg. No one ever got to see what would have been born to the two god-beasts though as Drekazra the Unbowed destroyed the creature, and reknitted it into something foul indeed. Although he was forced to retreat in the end, he left the city atop Neolotl a burnt wreck, and the city, even to this day, is still recovering.

The two god-beasts, though, have been joined in their interactions. The great worm now circles the pair, and although it does so at quite a distance off, and doesn’t impact the two, most can see that the symbiosis has shifted in some way, as the three continue where only two danced before.

Recently, one of the nearby miniature islands around Neolotl has begun to sink into darkness, though the reasons as to why remain shrouded in mystery. All excursions to find out the cause has resulted in all participants vanishing for good.
